Time well spent

The village was quiet as usual as Dosu walked down the street, in plain view. It wasn't a particularly good idea to wonder the barren streets of the Hidden sound village, you were likely to be attacked or robbed, but Dosu was counting on that. He was feeling bored and a fight would do him some good.
It didn't take long; even for members of the village the streets weren’t safe. The first shuriken flew from one of the empty houses, which he dodged easily, the second and third flew at him from a tree to the right of him, this too he dodged with ease.
"You can come out now Zaku, you know you won't be able to hit me with those weak attacks."

Zaku stepped out from behind a wall with a twisted grin on his face. His forhead protector shined brightly as the sun reflected off of it and obscured his eyes. As he approached, he looked, Dosu over and crossed his arms.
"There only weak, 'cause I didn't feel like taking you out just yet, Dosu." His eyes narrowed.
"But don't think my arms arn't aching for a good work out." He raised his right hand and vented air out of the hole in his palm with threatening intent.
"And I'm tired of waiting for a fight."

Dosu grinned widely under his bandages, Zaku wasn't the one he was expecting, but he would provide at least some level of challenge.
"You're to cocky Zaku, your overconfidence is your biggest weakness, and attacking me was your biggest mistake!” Dosu crouched over slightly getting into position to attack. Zaku may be overconfident, but he's no fool, if he were Dosu would have killed him some time ago.
Without so much as a word between them, Dosu rushed forward to get in his attack. He swung his fist at Zaku and released his sound waves towards him.

Flipping backwards Zaku pointed his hands at the ground and readied a blast of medium strength airpressure at the earth below sending him rocketing into the air and onto the rooftop. While he landed less gracefully then he intended he looked at Dosu on the ground, with a sneer.
"You must think I'm some kind of idiot if you think I'd fall for that trick twice. The first time you used it on me I didn't know better, but I've observed you pull it off countless times since then." He pointed both palms out and down, facing the bandaged ninja on the ground.
"And... at a distance like this, your MINE!" He fired a torent of compressed air at Dosu with enough force to crumble granite.
"ZANKUUHA!"

The blast was headed straight at him ready to crush him to dust, but Dosu would not fall that easily, his speed had always been one of his best assets. Before the blast could hit him Dosu dashed out of the way and into one of the houses. He wasn't unscathed though; Zaku's blast had grazed his right arm, which would make it hard for him to attack. Stealth would be his best bet now.
He leapt from the window of the house and into the surrounding wild life; Zaku's attack would be less effective with so many trees in the way. Dosu hid himself among the them and waited for Zaku to come after him.

Zaku watched Dosu escape into the trees. His expression was that of acidic distase.
"Always fighting like a coward..." He jumped off the roof and dashed at full speed into the darkened forest. As he sped between the large trees, he came to a stop in the middle of a clearing. His arms were stretched to the sides, and his eyes shifted back and fourth nervously.

Dosu watched from a high branch as Zaku moved his head from left to right in an attempt to find him; Zaku was very up front, with little tactical ability. In this kind of fight Dosu now had the advantage. But with his right arm still injured he wouldn't be able to get his attack off by normal means, once again he smiled wide under his bandages, but then again that was why he chose this vantage point.
"Not bad Zaku! You’ve improved, but you're still a helpless fool!" his voice echoed through the trees.
He watched as Zaku tried frantically to identify the source. Even for a sound ninja like Zaku, picking a direction out his voice from the echoes would be hard, so he felt confidant enough to shout his last comment, but the time for words was about to come to a close. He watched and waited for Zaku to position himself where he needed him.
When Zaku was directly under him he made his move. Dosu descended from the trees and fell behind Zaku and to the ground. Unknown to Zaku, he had released his sound waves as he fell. At that speed he wasn’t able to focus as well as he would have liked, and with his arm injured the attack would take time to affect him, and the effect would certainly be lessened, but soon enough he would se results.
As quick as he revealed himself, Dosu once again fell upon the forest for a safe hiding place. He would wait for another opportunity to present it's self.

Zaku panicked and stumbled forward, hoping to get out of range of the attack in time. Without looking first, he whipped around and let loose another burst of intense pressure (Zankuuha). When the blast finished he looked over his work. The path was completely clear, with no sign of his assailant. A furious growl escaped from his throat.
"Damn you, Dosu! When I find you I-" He stumbled for a moment before righting himself.
"I'll kill y-you..." He fell to his knees in a dizzy stupor. He must have been grazed by Dosu's lunge. His left ear was sending mixed signals and throwing him around. It wasn't as bad as when he had first received a blow from the melody arm, but it had had an effect. He shakily got to his feet and pointed his arms at the trees.
"ZANKUKYOKUHA!" The force nearly sent his shaken body to the ground, and he realized this wouldn't hit anything but the foliage; however he required time to reaquire his bearings.

Dosu watched as Zaku fired his Zankuuha in random directions, He gets frustrated easily, something that Dosu would use against him. Once again he yelled from the trees so as to further fluster his opponent.
"Zaku, why don't you just give up? You know full well who the better ninja is, heh, the only reason Orochimaru-sensei keeps you around is because of your arms."
He hit a nerve with his last comment, Zaku was proud of his arms, and wouldn't take a comment like that lightly, but all of this was just part of his plan.

Any self control Zaku claimed as his own fled from him as soon as he heard Dosu's words. With a roar of frustration, he ran in the direction that he thought was the most likely to contain his opponent and while stumbling from his earlier injury, he reached into his equipment pouch and pulled out eight kunai he held between each finger. He threw them forward and let rip with his zankuuha, sending the projectiles like bullets.
"I'll show you what I can do with my arms!"
The kunai pierced through three foot thick tree trunks as though they had the consistency of cardboard. Zaku's laugh followed behind them and took on a manic edge.

One of the Kunai flew past Dosu's face, just a few inches off. Although startled by this he couldn't give away his position, not yet. He continued watching as Zaku used his Zankuuha to level the area, waiting for one more opening, but Zaku wasn't letting up. The grin on his face soon appeared yet again, this could have unexpected benefits though.
One of Zaku's blasts hit the tree he was in; he had to dodge to prevent falling. He was only in the open for a moment, and he couldn't tell if Zaku had seen him or not, never the less, he remained hidden and waited for Zaku's next move.

Having lost the ability to clearly hear out of his left ear for the time being, Zaku didn't notice the sound of Dosu dodging to the next tree. Had he been of sound mind he would have begun to realize however that he had fired his Zankuuha over ten times in the last half hour and was dangerously low on chakra. He readied another burst, and fired it into the trees but half way through the technique; the air pressure began to die off before becoming little more than a breeze being pushed half-heartedly from his palms. His eyes widened as the situation dawned on him.

Kidoumaru had just come back from his training, and noticed the ruckuss going around close to the village.
It wasnt unusual to find people fighting in the Sound village, but since Kidoumaru is a sworn guard for Orochimaru, there was some security reasons he respected.. It could be anyone fighting out there, even Shinobi from another village.
He jumped up to one of the highest treetops and looked down in the forest just next to the village, directly spotting the two fighters.
Genin of Sound, huh..? To Orochimaru-sama, they're a discrace to be fighting like this in their own village.. Kidoumaru thought.
Even though he really didnt care much about the lives of these small ones, he decided to stand and observe the battle since he didnt have anything else to do at this time.

This was what Dosu had been waiting for, with Zaku blasting his Zankuuha so much, he had run out of chakra. Dosu carefully waded through the trees. Even with his chakra low, Zaku was not to be underestimated. On several occasions he had been witness to Zaku's perseverance overcoming the odds, but at this point caution was almost a formality or compliment.
Dosu jumped down from his hiding place and stared at Zaku with a look of joy in his eye. Zaku talked tough, but when confronted with an enemy like himself, Zaku fell short.
"What can you do now, Zaku? You're chakra has been exhausted and my attack is still lingering, you can't even put up a decent defense."

Zaku snarled and pulled a kunai out staring at Dosu with contempt. With out warning he blindly lunged at him, without style or strategy.
"I'll "put up" this!
He thrust the kunai forward towards Dosu's smug face.
